Are you struggling to find things to do with your children in Norfolk this Half Term? Here at Pure we have put together a list of our favourite things to do in Norfolk!
This February Half Term why not explore the magic of the Broads National Park, plus Kids Go Free, what could be better! Your skipper will give a live commentary explaining the origins of the Broads, whilst pointing out the local wildlife and other points of interest.
Norwich Castle, Museum of Norwich at The Bridewell, Strangers' Hall at Norwich, Thetford Ancient House, Great Yarmouth Time & Tide, Gressenhall Museum and King’s Lynn Museum will all be offering half-term activities for families.
Closest to Norwich, Norwich Castle will be holding court during half-term with its Kings, Queens & Dirty Rascals week, which will complement the new exhibition which launched on 9 February, Square Box on the Hill.
Banham Zoo and Africa Alive
Banham Zoo and Africa Alive are our longstanding popular attractions in Norfolk and are also offering kids go free this February Half Term! Banham Zoo is as an award winning family attraction and one of the most exciting wildlife attractions in the country, with over 2000 animals from around the world and set in 50 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. Africa Alive is a walking safari set in 100 acres and home to more than 80 species of animals from around Africa! You can spend the whole day in each park and the kids will be kept amused for hours…
One on my ‘to do’ list this Half Term is Bewilderwood, an adventure park for families located in Horning, near Wroxham. Self-described as a "curious treehouse adventure," the attraction is situated in a woodland area and features tree-houses, rope bridges, slides, zip wires, a maze, and two special areas for children under five called "Toddlewood-on-the-Hill" and "Toddlewood Valley.” Voted 4.5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor, I am looking forward to seeing what it is all about!
Dinosaur Adventure Park
One of the most popular in our household has to be the Dinosaur Park, located in Lenwade, you follow the trail through the woods and keep an eye out for a whole host of prehistoric creatures nestling amongst the trees! It also has a HUGE indoor soft play and outside adventure park as well as the parks newest edition Dippy’s splash zone… Unlikely to be warm enough during Half Term but one to look out for in the Summer Holidays. They have also recently added a much needed restaurant which I will be trying out on our next visit!
You don’t have to spend money to have good fun this Half Term though… The Brittannia Cafe have organised a number of fantastic free family activities every day throughout the February Half-Term as they launch the BRIT KIDS Club. There'll be sports, crafts, baking/decorating and much more on offer. See full programme details here
